Material & Care Information

At Vintage Jewelry Group, we cherish the unique history of each vintage piece. Please note the following about our jewelry and products:

Vintage Nature:  Many of our items are pre-owned and may date back decades, featuring materials like sterling silver, gold, brass, or gemstones. Due to their age, exact compositions (e.g., trace metals like nickel) may not always be verifiable. If you have allerigies oe sensitives, please contact us at contact@vintagejewelrygroup.com before purchasing to discuss specific pieces.

Age Identification: Collectively, our team brings advanced degrees in costume history, and over 60 years of experience selling historical jewelry to the table. We use our extensive knowledge to date each piece based on design, materials, and historical context. However, due to the nature of vintage jewelry, it is not always possible to determine the exact age with 100% certainty. While we make every effort to provide precise dating, slight variations may occur. We appreciate your understanding of the challenges involved in working with one-of-a-kind, historical pieces.

Condition: Each item is carefully inspected to ensure it's in wearable, sellable condition as described. Minor signs of wear (e.g., patina, light scratches) are typical for vintage jewelry and add to its charm-please review product descriptions and photos for details.

Care Instructions: To preserve your jewelry, avoid exposure to water, chemicals, lotions, or perfumes. Store pieces in a dry, safe place. We are not responsible for damage due to improper care or use (e.g., wearing during intense filming or heavy activity).

Entertainment Use: For industry clients, we recommend testing pieces off-set to ensure suitability for shoots, as we cannot guarantee performance under production conditions (e.g., lighting, stunts).

We strive to provide accurate descriptions and photos. If you have questions about a piece's materials or condition, reach out- we're here to help!
